New CID i-smoulder

I was sent this great little pencil not so long ago. When I first had a look it reminded me of my beloved Stila Convertible Eye Colour that I used to practically live in.

This is the perfect tool for girls on the go. I got mine in Amethyst and it's a super versatile shade. I gave it a sheer wash all over the lid with the cream colour in one end then used the angled eye pencil at the other end to give some more depth at the lash line. It was pretty for during the day. As with so many cream eye colours, by 5pm it had creased but the colour itself was still there.

It also makes a great base for a night time smoky eye. I'd lay down the cream eye colour, create depth around the corner and lash with the pencil and then press in either a similar colour or a petrol green over the top. Some black eyeliner through the waterline and mascara would create a quick and sultry look that will last you all night long.

The i-smoulder is £18 and available in Debenhams.

NOTD - Barry M Dusky Mauve

Hmm, I'm not convinced. It's a bit muddy for me. The pretty irridescent purple shot through it looks really pretty in the bottle but doesn't show up much on the nails. I'm thinking I need to add the odd pink diamante on a nail or two to try bring it out a bit more. Will update if it makes any difference!

US Readers – SkinStore.com Clarisonic Opal Giveaway

110810-lp-opal-giveaway-v1 Hi,

I just wanted to make sure anyone that reads my blog and is based in the US has entered this competition. I’m DYING to try a Clarisonic Opal as I suffer from horrifically dark circles and this looks like a miracle!

You can enter the competition here. It closes on December 1st so get in there!

Meanwhile, I’ve been having a look around the site in general and they have some great products on offer. Have a look here. There are so many things on this site that I’d love to play with!

Kisses,

Rebecca xxx

PS, This isn’t a sponsored post. One of the site runners did get in touch with me to see if I’d like to enter the competition but I can’t as I’m not a US resident. x

Freeze 24/7 Freeze & Go

This has quickly become my new favourite primer. I tried it recently as I've started a little eBay channel selling some really cute makeup and skin care pieces. If you'd like to check it out my username is lesalon10. It's in it's very early stages and there are loads more goodies to come.

Meanwhile, the Freeze & Go. I love it! It didn't take long but I've left this post a while just to be on the safe side. First of all, I love the smell. It's a bit like oranges and cinnamon. I can't quite put my finger on it but it makes me happy every time I put it on!

I use one pump and that's more than enough for my whole face. It goes over my moisturiser and under my foundation. They say you can put it over your makeup as well but I haven't tried that. When I put my makeup on over the top everything seems to be in soft focus. It's the most brilliant result! I'm getting that elusive "lit from within" look that I'm always after and the lines and wrinkles I'm worried about don't seem so obvious. I definitely feel younger when I'm wearing it.

Then there is the longevity that comes with it. I definitely get more staying power out of my foundation. I've been using my Avon cream to powder foundation with a sponge. I give it a very light dusting with some loose powder and I've still got decent coverage and freshness when I get home in the evenings. I don't touch anything up during the day except for my lipstick.

I can't recommend this enough so definitely have a look at my little eBay store to check it out!

I should mention that I did buy this product myself and even though I'm selling it in my store it hasn't changed my opinion or my review in any way.

The Balm Two Timer

Ordinarily the words "two" and "timer" combined fill me with dread and unhappiness. In this case I'm pleased to report that it's quite the opposite!

When I mentioned on Twitter a little while ago that I had been unexpectedly flung back into the sphere of singledom some very very lovely PR peeps sent me a care package. They have noooo idea how touched I was and how much it really did cheer me up. Every time I use something out of that package it remindds me how many kind and lovely people are on Twitter and how people can reach out to those in need even if they've never met in person!

Well, this little tube has been a LIFE saver! I was a wee bit dubious as I've never been a fan of these kinds of products. I'm also not a fan of plastic mascara brushes preferring something more traditional. I've had this tube in my little bag of makeup I keep at work for when I get out of bed late and have to run for the train, touch ups before a meeting and that kind of thing. I want a Two Timer at home, in my handbag and generally everywhere I go.

I have FINALLY found a mascara that doesn't slide off my lashes and onto the rest of my face! Both brushes give definition and the mascara itself is lovely and black. My lashes don't feel terribly lengthened or volumised but the fact that it's black and it stays on my lashes is a massive plus for me! Even running back to the office in the rain at lunch time today hasn't seen it budge!

You can get The Balm products from QVC and lookfantastic.

MAC Obviously Orange Eyeliner

It's amazing how you forget what you've got in a makeup kit! I find myself going for my tried, tested and reliable favourites time and time again. It means I forget the lesser used goodies I have. Whilst rifling through my kit to find some treasures I came across this orange eyeliner. It was so bright and colourful I was like a magpie and needed to use it immediately if not sooner.

In a similar way I was looking at a very unhappy palette with a bunch of shattered eyeshadows in it. Cobbled streets and I are not friends when it comes to my kit. So I decided to play with my ornage eyeliner and my green eyeshadows that I was trying to clean up.

Here is what happened next...

Face Atelier Ultra Foundation

I ordered some sample pots of the Face Atelier Ultra Foundation from Coco Beau a little while ago. For £1 per pot it's a great way to try it out! I got it in a bunch of shades so I can try it out before committing to it for my kit. I've not been disappointed. The video shows me applying it to a bare face with a brush and a sponge for the different outcomes. My favourite was with a sponge. I love the finish a sponge gives when I'm using a liquid foundation.

NOTD - Essie Sew Psycho

I had this manicure done on Saturday at Scin on Great Portland St. When I saw this colour it was the one and only option for me. I just love it. Summer was all about greige but autumn seems to be about greeige by looks of it!
