LFW Giles Deacon SS 2012

Watch out, Giles! I bet Bjork was hiding behind a column somewhere in this show trying to steal all the swans!!! They’re so beautiful, though. I love the swan dress as well.

LFW Issa SS 2012

Glamazon alert! The girls in this show all look like glowing, bouncy, Brazilian perfection!!! Ooh la la! I loved quite a few of the dresses as well!

That maxi dress with the sailing boat print has my name written all over it.

Kay Montano created the beautifully sculptured faces for this show. You can check out how it was done here at Makeup Mole's blog.

LFW Mulberry SS 2012

Hmm, finding a video for this collection was a little tricky. I REALLY wanted to show you the hair on the models, though! It’s like my dream hair! It’s MASSIVE!!! Plus, here was a dog in the show! It’s too cute for words! It get a bit too Behind The Scenes for my liking, but I hope you enjoy watching!

Let’s face it, if I’d been there, I would have run off with half those animal balloons without even watching the show.

LFW PPQ SS 2012

Ooh, more evidence that the 90’s are back! This collection was screaming Gianni Versace at me over and over! One of the models even reminded me loads of 90’s Claudia Schiffer! It was kind of fun to watch them all struggle in the shoes as well. It made me feel better about my own inability to walk gracefully around the streets of London in heels. My favourite outfit is the Zorro ensemble. I really want it!!!!

LFW Sass & Bide SS 2012

Of course I had to include the Aussie designers in this collection of fashion week faves!!!! I’m loving the futuristic tribal vibe. If only I had the legs for some of these numbers! And who doesn’t love a strong brow? It’s all about the brows these days!

Fashion Week Special–Gucci A/W 2011

With London Fashion Week about to launch, I thought I’d spend a few days looking at some of my favourite shows from last season. I haven’t been able to stop swooning over this collection, in particular. many a late night conversation has been had with @Fresh_garbage about how much we love it. To me, this collection is perfection. I want my entire life to look like this catwalk! With Gucci being off my radar for so many years it’s beyond thrilling to have it back again!

Pai Geranium and Thistle Lotion

I love natural and gentle products that smell yummy and do what they say they're going to do. I think that's been a big draw back with natural products in the past. They either didn't perform or they weren't as natural as we were lead to believe. Thankfully, things have started to change somewhat.

One of the organic brands I love is Pai. I've used a few of their products on myself in the past and really liked them. When I received this bottle of goodness it went straight into my kit! I figured if my skin had turned around thanks to natural products then the people I work on would respond well to them too.

The lotion is light, smells amazing and has a slightly mattifying effect. For that reason it's perfect for boys as well. On a recent job there were a lot of male models and they all loved it. It left their skin looking gorgeous and we didn't need to do too much correction after massaging it in.

With organic brands like Pai, their preservative levels are very low or non existent. That means it's not a product you can keep loitering in your bathroom cabinet for as long as some other products. They say it needs to be used up within nine months. Mine is nearly all gone already!!! I'll definitely be getting another one!

You can get yours from Being Content for £24.

NOTD - Mavala and Filthy Gorgeous

Today I'm wearing The Elle Grey Mavala did for the September issue of Elle. It's the perfect shade of grey. Not too dark, not too light and I can see some pastel blue coming through it. I decided to do a nail on each hand (as usual) with Tipsy by Filthy Gorgeous London. The two colours look really cute together and are perfect for this time of year when we're going through the change of seasons.

Kisses,

Ps, I bought my own copy of Elle with the Mavala varnish on the cover but I was given the Tipsy free of charge for review purposes. X

Functionalab

A supplement is a supplement is a supplement, right? I've recently discovered that the answer is, definitely, no! These babies practically perform miracles.

Ever since moving to the UK over eight years ago, my skin has been problematic. I terribly miss my days of wearing a little tinted moisturiser or just concealer and some powder where I need it. However, like so many Australians that make the move over here, I've struggled with angry, painful breakouts and all sorts of issues with my skin.

I've been using my Emma Hardie products for a while and they made a massive difference but over the last month things have gone to a whole new level. Yes, I have a few bits of discolouration, but what 35 year old doesn't? Apart from that, I've nearly got my dream skin since using the Functionalab Hair Skin and Nails supplements.

The ingredients in these supplements are all pure and 100% natural. Not just that, but they've all gone through clinical trials!!! (When I say that, I'm talking about the ingredients, not the actual supplement itself.) It was the clinical trials that got my attention. It's so rare for products to make that claim these days.

What I wasn't expecting from these are the added extras. It's not just my skin that's glowing with new found health. Everyone has been commenting on how good my hair looks. I wouldn't say it's thicker, but there seems to be more of it and it's growing faster than it has in years. Finally, my weight seems to have found a nice place. I've had several people tell me I've lost weight, and I've dropped a dress size all without changing anything. I wouldn't necessarily tell someone to use this product for weight management, but it's a welcomed bonus!

Functionalabs do all kinds of targeted products for specific issues. I'm definitely going to keep taking the Hair Skin and Nails but quite fancy trying the Age Defence or the Body Toning formulas as well.

You can check them out at Functionalab.co.uk

PS, these supplements were provided to me free of charge for review purposes.

Ruby Hammer Smudge And Shade Eye Crayons

I've talked about these a few times over the last couple months. Ruby Hammer has brought her own range out aimed at people that don't want to spend loads of money on their makeup but like playing with colour. The range is available from September exclusively at Debenhams.

The range only comes in sets and is only colours, at this stage. I was given the set of Smudge and Dhade Eye Crayons to have a play with. The range of colours is pretty cool.

I've had mixed success with these crayons. They definitely won't make it into my kit, I don't think. I tried to use the black and grey crayon on a catwalk show. When I attempted to build up layers of the black it just all came peeling off and left me with a naked eyelid.

I then tried the green and copper shades on myself. This colour combination really excited me. However, within minutes it had all smooshed into one blob of colour and was dreading like I've never had creasing before.

The one I'm having loads of success with is this one.

I put the gunmetal grey all over, the plum into the crease and then buff of all over with a satin finish, pale dusky pink powder. It's a great combo with loads of staying power and is the perfect level of smokey.

Let me know how you get on with these.

Revitalash Mascara

I have a tricky time with mascara. I have very greasy eyelids so my mascara travels and is usually half way down my face by lunch time. I also don't like using waterproof mascara all the time. I feel like it stunts my lashes.

I've been really surprised by the Revitalash mascara. I was sent one in Espresso. I NEVER wear brown mascara but it's nice and dark, not too red and actually looks nice.

The wand is great. It definitely makes the most of the length and volume you're lashes have been gaining, if you've been using the serum. It also stays put all day without being too dry, caky or difficult to take off at night.

Go to www.skinbrands.co.uk for stockists.

Slim Cera Facial Roller

I had one of these used on me during my Being Content Facial Massage earlier this month. I really feel that I need one to use on myself at home now! In terms of the facial, it was the perfect way to start coming back to earth after the blissful treatment. It’s slightly cool on the skin but feels amazing.

The tool has five rollers on it each made of a ceramic magnetic material that’s packed with minerals including Tourmaline and quartz. They push out and remove dirt leaving your pores clean and smooth.

They say you need to roll for three minutes, three times a day. You can use it in the shower and you can use it after cleansing or after putting your moisturiser on. I love that you can use it around your eyes, on your legs, arms, neckline and shoulders as well. Your whole body can be vibrant and smooth! Yay!

The roller is £185 from Being Content.

Look That I Love

I'm in love with this image from Chanel. I would love to have silvery pink or silvery purple hair! I've been doing a lot of electric pink eyebrows recently as well. It pleases me greatly to see it in such a high profile campaign! I've been using an OCC Lip Tar to do mine.
